Day-wise itinerary

Day 1
Arrive Cochin
Transfer to Fort Kochi. Afternoon walk past the Chinese fishing nets, St Francis Church and the spice warehouses of Jew Town. Evening Kathakali performance.

Day 2
Cochin to Munnar
Drive up through rubber and cardamom into tea country, stopping at the Cheeyappara falls. Overnight Munnar.

Day 3
Munnar
Eravikulam national park for the Nilgiri tahr, the tea museum, Mattupetty dam and Echo Point. Long views over the plantations.

Day 4
Munnar to Thekkady
Across to Thekkady and the Periyar reserve. Afternoon boat on the lake, then a spice plantation walk.

Day 5
Thekkady to Alleppey — houseboat
Down to Alleppey to board your private houseboat at noon. The afternoon drifts through paddy fields and village canals. All meals aboard.

Day 6
Alleppey to Kovalam
Disembark after breakfast and drive south to Kovalam for a night by the sea.

Day 7
Depart Trivandrum
Morning at leisure on the beach before your transfer to Trivandrum airport.
