Day 1
Arrive Colombo — Sigiriya
Met at Bandaranaike and driven inland. Evening at leisure at your hotel.

Day 2
Sigiriya and Dambulla
Climb Sigiriya rock in the cool of the morning, then the Dambulla cave temples in the afternoon.

Day 3
Sigiriya to Kandy
Spice garden en route, then the Temple of the Tooth for the evening puja and a Kandyan dance performance.

Day 4
Train to Nuwara Eliya
The hill-country train through tea estates and waterfalls — one of the best rail journeys anywhere. Afternoon at a tea factory.

Day 5
To Yala
Drive down to Yala. Afternoon jeep safari for leopard, elephant and sloth bear.

Day 6
Yala to Bentota
Across to the coast. Afternoon free on the beach, with an optional river safari on the Madu Ganga.

Day 7
Depart Colombo
Transfer to the airport, with time for a stop in Colombo if the flight is late.
