A long day west — Windsor Castle, Stonehenge on the plain and the Roman Baths at Bath.

To the Lake District
Train or coach north, stopping at Manchester or Chester. Evening at Windermere.

Lake cruise in the morning, then across the border. Evening on the Royal Mile.
