Day-wise itinerary

Day 1
Arrive Bagdogra — Gangtok
Met at Bagdogra and driven up along the Teesta to Gangtok. Evening on MG Marg.

Day 2
Tsomgo lake and Baba Mandir
A day trip to the glacial lake at 3,700m and the Baba Harbhajan Singh temple. Nathu La added if permits allow.

Day 3
Gangtok to Lachung
North through waterfalls and gorges to the village of Lachung. Overnight in a simple mountain lodge.

Day 4
Yumthang valley
Early start to the Yumthang valley and the hot springs, returning to Gangtok in the evening.

Day 5
Gangtok to Darjeeling
Cross into West Bengal. Afternoon at the Peace Pagoda and Chowrasta.

Day 6
Darjeeling
Pre-dawn drive to Tiger Hill for sunrise on Kanchenjunga, then Batasia Loop, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and a working tea estate.

Day 7
Toy train and leisure
A joyride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, then time in the market for tea.

Day 8
Depart Bagdogra
Drive down to Bagdogra for your flight.
